Нет, не получится. В p7 нет и не появится gcc4.8, без которого сборка
chromium > 38.x невозможна.

Точно нет лишних расширений? А опаньки зависят от маленького ulimit -n
(по умолчанию 1024, в /etc/chromium/default выставляется 1536)
поднимайте в /etc/security/limits.conf и уйдёт. Я и без поднятия ни разу
не ловил на версии в p7.

Там проблемы с libnss нет. Переходите на p8, там более новый chromium.
