По аналогии с другими свежими ноутами от asus могу с вероятностью 99%
предположить, что без ядра 2.6.24 ничего у вас не получится. А,
учитывая ниже описанное, я бы посоветовал не заниматься "шаманскими"
плясками, т.к. мелодии для бубна Вы не знаете. Начните с изучения
основ архитектуры системы и параллельно почитайте о формате пакетов
rpm и понятии зависомостей. Иначе Вы потратите кучу времени и трафика
на убиение системы...
