Значит, проблема не в железе. Если бы это было сказано в самом
первом письме, мы бы сразу перешли к вопросу о том, что надо
посмотреть dmesg (строки оттуда про сидиром), куда указывает
симлинк /dev/cdrom и как оформлена соответствущая строчка в
etc/fstab.
P.S. Правильно сформулированный вопрос уже включает в себя 90%
ответа.
