Ставить "--" в начале письма - свинство. Или дешёвое детское позёрство.
Стыдитесь.
Печатать в пошкрип напрямую можно и нужно лишь в особо тяжелых случаях,
и я что-то вовсе не уверен, что у вас именно такие задачи. Для простой
печати разумнее всего использовать TeX, lout, dia, xfig (у двух последних
весьма вменяемый формат, который легко генерить программно).
Если же на самом деле не обойтись без тонкого программёжа на пошкрипе,
то советую начать с замечательной книжечки, свободно доступной в Сети -
"Thinking in Postscript".
