К сожалению, в документации к KDE из ALJ2 (как и из ALJ1.1) написано, что
kppp вменяем только для callback, организуемого без так называемого
ms-cbcp. Да, ms - это от имени собственного Microsoft.
А что касается ms-cbcp, то те версии kppp, что попадали ко мне в руки (см.
выше), просто нуждаются в дополнительной обточке, поскольку поддержка cbcp
есть в pppd альтовской сборки из ALJ2.0 (не ALJ1.1!). Ну а факт того, что
красивые GUI интерфейсы часто пасуют перед своими бэкэндами - печален и
известен.
Могу из своего опыта посоветовать настроить ifup(down) ppp0 - не совсем
удобно из-за pppwatch, т.к. где-то в скрипте ifdown ppp0 есть ошибка,
приводящая к невозможности сказать ifdown ppp0 после разрыва связи
модемом. Неочевидно, что вправляет мозги кривому скрипту подмога в виде
killall pppwatch. Зато легко начинающему, поскольку для настройки годится
draknet.
Более трудный способ (так и не реализованный мной) - настроить pppd так,
чтобы выход в интернет осуществлялся командой pppd call isp. Зато уж точно
не будет проблем с выходом из Интернет. killall pppd :-)
