сделал. Сразу апплет принтера появился, радостно доложил, что нашел аж
тройной принтер LBP3010-LBP3018-LBP3050 и ни в какую не хочет печатать
дальше... Снес все, попытался сделать все заново - и опять ничего не вышло...
потом глянул lpinfo -l -v. Без usblp там такое
Device: uri = usb://Canon/LBP3010/LBP3018/LBP3050?serial=0000B299F2jb
если же сделать modprobe usblp, то эта строчка меняется на такое
Device: uri = hal:///org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_4a9_26da_0000B299F2jb_if0_printer_noserial
