Решил попробовать Desktop 5.0 из-за проблем с kde4 в 4.1.1.
Скачал, установил - на выходе черный экран. Установил второй
раз (параметры монитора оставил по-умолчанию, решив изменить
потом). Все работает, но разрешение 1024х768 вместо необходимых
1440х900. Начал искать центр управления системой, чтобы
поставить свой монитор (Acer AL1916W) и разрешение с глубиной цвета,
но в ОС его нет. В KDE4, как и в KDE3, впрочем, очень куций набор
возможных параметров. Лезу в /etc/X11/xorg.conf в секцию Screen и
ничерта там понять не могу, кроме глубины цвета. Разрешение экрана
и частота кадров в явном виде отсутствуют. И как действовать дальше
в такой ситуации? Опять переустанавливать ОС?
