С помощью настроек модуля карты можно сменить среду передачи,
если это разрешено в настройках, записанных во флэш самой сетевой
карточки. Изменить эти настройки можно загрузившись с досовской дискетки (как правило) и запустив программу аппаратной конфигурации карты.
Скажем для карт на основе чипсета RTL8029 такая программа называется
rset8029.exe .
Если в этой программе жестко задать media type как 10BASE2, то карта будет работать только с коаксиальным кабелем.
Если же выбрать "autodetect" или как-то так, то тип подключения можно будет сменить из операционной системы, опять же в случае поддержки этого драйвером.
