Linux тут ни при чем. Причем тут возможности "мамы".
Если нет возможности изменить делитель для PCI и AGP шин, то
никто не сможет дать гарантии, что при разгоне будут корректно
работать IDE-контроллер и AGP(или PCI)-видеокарта.
Сейчас появилось достаточно много "мам", которые позволяют
настраивать делители. Например, у меня одна из таких - Abit BE6-II.
На ней Celeron 333 безо всяких проблем работает при частоте
шины 100Мгц, т.е. на 500Мгц. На "мамах", не имеющих таких
возможностей, с этим же процессором устойчиво удавалось
работать только на шине 83Мгц, т.е. процессор - на 416 Мгц.
