Посмотрите есть ли у Вас
/usr/lib/browser-plugins
Если есть, то модуль плеера должен лежать там.
В установке с сайта нет ничего сложного. Качайте тарбол и просто
разархивируете его в нужное место. Сам так семанкой пользуюсь. У нас
она давно заброшена. И, в принципе, это и правильно. Паковать их в
пакеты с учетом сложившейся политики поддержки дистрибутивов особого
смысла нет. Только чтоб было чем актуальную версию найти и затянуть к
себе.
