То, что там написано в общем-то не актуально. Я пару дней назад как
раз подцепил такую мышку к домашнему компу. Никаких настроек в конфиг
xorg'а писать не пришлось. Он сам её цепляет, за той лишь разницей,
что он думает, что на мышке 9 кнопок, а не 7. Но это не суть важно,
т.к. 8-я и 9-я кнопки как раз попадают на боковые клавиши мышки. Т.е.
6-й и 7-й кнопки просто нет физически.
На сколько я понял вопрос, то человеку надо не мышь в X'ах настроить,
а запрограммировать боковые кнопки на что-то полезное. К сожалению в
присутствующих DE/WM никаких настроек для этого не предусмотрено. А
потому остаётся только использовать xbindkeys, которого кстати нет на
ALD4, и его придётся выкачивать из бранча.
