А что пишет ip route show ?
Т.е., маршрут на сервер OpenVPN есть? Если меняется default route на
туннель, то должен быть отдельный маршрут через физический интерфейс
к серверу OpenVPN.
Иначе будет очень похожая внешне ситуация:
туннель успешно установился - со старым маршрутом по-умолчанию,
далее меняется маршрут - и сервер OpenVPN становится недоступным,
и всё отправляется в туннель, где и остаётся.
И, насколько пакеты из Sisyphus рабочие в P8 - не скажу. Сборки
2.4.6 для P8 есть здесь:
