В моем образе p8 в режиме восстановления fixmbr отработать не смог (ошибку сейчас не воспроизведу).
lilo отсутствует совсем.
Загрузился в режим восстановления с диска p7
fixmbr
lilo -M /dev/sda mbr
lilo -A /dev/sda 0
lilo -A /dev/sda 2
позволило решить проблему. Стартанула p8
