Повторюсь - сам FF работает быстро, не тормозит. Это не только моё имхо,
это подтверждено сотнями установок на разных машинах, везде всё летает.
Проблемы тормозов FF могут быть из за обилия рекламы на флеше, что
устраняется с помощью AddBlockPlus, либо из-за проблем с дровами на
видео, что решается даунгрейдом/апгрейдом дров. Последнее видел совсем
недавно на Mint17 - FF дико тормозил, причём эффект накапливался с
открытием новых вкладок. Даунгрейд проприетарных драйверов NVIDIA помог
решить проблему.
