Ну и в завершение, сугубо ИМХО не претендующее на истину в последней

Особенности эксплуатации LCD
Мануал 10019.pdf говорит, что диапазон частот
Fh: 30-82kHz Fv: 50-85Hz
Тем не менее, этот же мануал говорит, что
VGA up to 1280 x 1024 (60Hz preferred) preferred - предпочтительно
Но в мануале 7157.pdf возникает некоторая путаница из-за формулировки

supperted
По моему скромному, ребята просто свалили в таблице спецификации мануала
в кучу и рекомендуемые, и поддерживаемые
1024 x 768 @ 60, 70, 72, 75 Hz
Мануал LыGы в этом отношении более однозначен:
Max VESA 1280x1024 @75Hz
Recommended VESA 1280x1024 @60Hz
Влияет или не влияет длительная работа на граничных максимально
допустимых частотах, не скажу, - не электронщик.
По факту моя LG отработала на частоте 75Hz ~4.5 года после чего
благополучно накрылась.
Но ремонт по слухам стоит баксов десять и часа на три работы. Что и было.
Поэтому у себя xorg.conf свел к виду
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "LCD Panel 1280x1024|0"
HorizSync 31.5 - 64.0
VertRefresh 60.0
EndSection
Благо у LG для всех разрешений 60Hz держит.
Но у каждого производителя разрешение-частота_вертикальной_развертки
м.б. разная. Кажется у Acer такое видел.
Но опять же, всё это скорее мысли вслух, а не руководство к действию.
