Да, нечто подобное я и подозревал. Сейчас сижу на работе (под Убунтой),
вижу, что здесь в настройках NM есть ещё проводное соединение eth0.
Дома, действительно, за постоянные соединения отвечает etcnet. А нельзя
ли сказать NM'у использовать имеющийся интерфейс (lan0 в моём случае)
для поднятия pptp?
