Еще полчаса обдумывания проблемы привели меня к выводу, что это
"железячная" проблема.
На моем ноуте и раньше вскрывалось несколько таких:
1. При включении по ESC не вызывается меню выбора загрузочного
устройства, хотя на экран сообщение об этом выводится.
2. Изпод Линукса не происходит нормальной перезагрузки - доходит до
сообщения Restarting system и виснет намертво. Изпод оффтопика
перезагружается без проблем
Все это явные баги в BIOS.
Наверное и в прошивке видеокарты есть баг, который проявляется при
использовании фирменных линуксовых дров.
Остается объявить баг фичей, а любопытным объяснять, что это новая
меганавороченная защита от несанкционированного доступа :)
