У нас с 2003 года на флэшке пару файерволов и c 2004 г - NAS.
RAMFS - не используется.
ФС - ext3.
Ничего до сих пор не сгорело.
Если использовать флэш вместо HDD (и без HDD и CD-ROM) - нужно
смотреть на блок питания.
Если блок питания с обратной связью по 12В - часто стираются флэши
из-за всплесков напряжения по 5В.
Нужно выбирать источники питания с обратной связью по 5В.
