Я бы сделал специализированный livecd, чтобы на том конце человек
загрузился с него и указал адрес/маску/шлюз, проверил доступность сети
пингом. Если на том конце могут и хотят помочь (т.е. введут root, ip a,
ip r, ping), то можно и rescue из Server обойтись.
Ну а сам бы по ssh туда добрался и влил на диск уже заготовленный образ,
прописал загрузчик и т.д.
У хостеров, которые предоставляют такого рода услуги, есть и решения
соответствующие: serial console, kvm и т.д.
