По-моему, это взаимосвязанные вещи. Или вы пользуетесь locate и миритесь
с ночным шуршанием диска, либо сносите пакет slocate и спите спокойно :)
Аналогично osec. Совсем выбрасывать из cron.d я бы их не стал, иначе
однажды ваш locate скажет вам совсем не то, что имеет место быть на
самом деле.
