Subject: [Comm] wine перестал работать

Попытался WinRar 3.0 запустить под wine'ом в ALM2.4+updates. Получаю:
X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 53 (X_CreatePixmap)
Serial number of failed request: 6552
Current serial number in output stream: 6554
На ALC3.0 нечто похожее.
Раньше всё работало (ALM2.4). После какого апдейта сломалось - уже не
помню. Может, это и не апдейты виноваты (например, железо). Кто сталкивался?
На обоих машинах видео NV GF4 MX440. Переключение в режим VESA на ALM2.4
и последующий запуск winrar приводит лишь к ругани на libGLwrapper (так,
кажется, зовётся).
Что посоветуете?
(некоторые программы запускаются нормально, некоторые - вот с такой
диагностикой, некоторые - когда как; на обоих машинах)
