Да, я абсолютно уверен, что стоит grub.
Диски все IDE.
Вопрос тот же:
В каких случаях нужна ссылка на initrd в загрузчике, а в каих нет?
И если он нужен тогда почему старый initrd исчезает при установке новой
сборки ядра?
