Я не отношусь к уважаемым разработчикам, но ALT у меня жил одно время на
двух ядрах (2.4.27-std->2.4.27-wks и 2.6.8-std->2.6.9-wks), по разным
причинам. Обычная домашняя машина на чипсете nForce2 и с видео от nVidia
же; эмуляторов (win4lin всякий там...) у меня нет. Я не знаю, кого
благодарить за легкую жизнь (подозреваю, что hotplug), но мое участие в
разруливании свелось к общему намеку на то, что для сети можно
использовать модуль forcedeth (probe eth1 forcedeth в /etc/modules.conf).
