Значит, перескажу сам.
В общем, однажды после долгого перерыва автор среды разработки должен
был встретиться со своей девушкой, по имени Анюта. День был тем более
торжественный, потому что это был ее день рождения. По причинам, которые
в рассказе раскрыты не были, они в этот день так и не смогли
встретиться. Как это он там написал... "It felt like you were hit by a
thousand bullets at once.", или что-то подобное. После чего он решил,
что обязательно сделает что-нибудь для нее, что-то серьезное и важное. И
сделал среду разработки, которая eventually стала фактически официальной
средой разработки под GNOME.

Я тоже не знаю, почему там лошадь :) Может, это как раз отмазка для
