Приветствую всех!
Продолжение истории про запихивание сканов в pdf. Оказалось, что это
можно делать, преобразовав сканы в PostScript convert'ом, а затем сделав
cat *.ps | ps2pdf - book.pdf
Но... Выяснилось, что, хотя исходные ps-файлы имеют горизонтальную
ориентацию (на горизонтально расположенную страницу A4 как раз
помещается разворот книги), на выходе ps2pdf имеем документ с
вертикальной ориентацией страниц, поперёк каждой находится исходная
страница в сжатом виде, сверху и снизу -- большие белые поля. Длительное
выкуривание /usr/share/doc/ghostscript-%version/... и танец с бубном
вокруг опций ghostscript'а дали совершенно нулевой результат :( В конце
концов я плюнул на ориентацию (так как полученный pdf всё равно
предназначен для хранения с последующей распечаткой) и повернул все
исходные картинки на 90 градусов.
Но пришлось констатировать грустный факт: штатными средствами ALJ2.2
даже с применением напильника получить документ pdf с горизонтальной
ориентацией страниц _невозможно_ :(((
