Возможно в самом фотоаппарате стоит установочка "подшарпливать"
картинку в JPEG. Такое бывает часто, стоит какой-нибудь sharpness -
normal, а если посмотреть, то есть ещё и none.
В целом, в вопросах именно качества фотографии почти всегда снимаю в RAW.
Обработка, конечно, занимает время, но, когда оно есть - повозиться
даже в кайф, а когда нет - так есть batch.
UFRaw плагин для GIMP работает вполне нормально. Единственное - хорошо
бы почитать хелп к нему и немного про конвертацию RAW в целом. На
пальцах объяснить - сложно.
