Всем привет!
У коллеги моего проблема возникла с машинкой. Зависает непредсказуемым
образом.
Например, через 3-4 часа нормальной работы. В логах и на консоли ничего.
Собственно вопрос: это глюкавое железо попалось или конфигурация неживая?
Я сам пока к первому склоняюсь, но мало ли...

Собственно, описание проблемы:

Вопрос на засыпку: мертво виснет машина под линуксом. Дебиан.
Кто виноват и что делать? :)
То есть, где набраться плодотворных идей для успешной борьбы с
железкой?
Машина 2U на Supermicro X5DPL-8GM c 2-мя Xeon'ами
на борту:
1. Dual Intel. Xeon. 3.06 GHz
2. Intel. E7501 Chipset
3. 1GB RAM
4. 1x Gigabit Ethernet, 1x 10/100M Ethernet
5. Adaptec AIC-7902 dual channel Ultra320 SCSI
6. ATI RageXL 8MB PCI Graphic Controller
7. ICP Vortex GDT 8514RZ RAID controller
Виснет мертво без всякого предупреждения. В логах - тишина. Игры со
сменой ядра и его пересборкой никаких результатов не дали.
Было бы время на длительные эксперименты - замучил бы сам, а так
приходится просить помощь зала. Достаточно будет общего напрвления куда
копать.
