Да похоже такая проблема присутствует.
Взялся я тут покопаться с pptpd + радиус, правда на сизифе
со следующими пакетами:
$rpm -qa | grep 'ppp\|pptp'
pptpd-1.1.4-alt1.b4
ppp-radius-2.4.1.20031003-alt2
ppp-2.4.1.20031003-alt2
и в настоящее время имею похожие симптомы и записи в логах.
При этом на чуть-чуть осизифленном мастере 2.2 где установлены:
$ rpm -qa | grep 'ppp\|pptp'
ppp-2.4.1.20031003-alt2
pptpd-1.1.3_20030409-alt1
все работает.
Видимо откат на проверенную версию наиболее простой выход.
