Я вот подумал чем для меня Gentoo притягателен. Что в нем есть
особенно "сладкого".
И в результате возник вопрос про систему apt по сравнению с
Gentoo'шными ebuild'ами. Вопрос типа "как делается это в Альтлинуксе".
По поводу ситуации обновления кучи пакетов. Они у меня уже были
настроены и подогнаны к моим нуждам. В смысле правки их конфигурационных
файлов. Когда я получаю кучу обновлений, их конфигурационные файлы
кладутся рядом, иногда с расширением .rpmnew, иногда - наоборот,
замещают то что было раньше сохранив с расширением .rpmold
В Gentoo есть утилита etc-update. Она находит все такие
конфигурационные файлы кандидаты на изменение, и предлагает на выбор
посмотреть их diff, игнорировать обновление, заменить файл обновлением,
или интерактивно merge существующий конфигурационный файл с обновлением.
Я смотрю на этот список, иногда десятки конфигурационных файлов.
Вижу в них те несколько штук что я сам менял. Их интерактивно обновляю.
А потом все остальные автоматом заменяю на новые версии.
Подскажите, как аналогичную вещь делать в Альтлинуксе.
