Добавлять диски к базе apt нужно от root и Х-ы для этого не нужны.
Если Вы уже работаете от пользователя, то даете в терминале команду su -
(именно с дефисом) и на приглашение вводите пароль root. Став админом,
отдаете команду apt-cdrom add. Выполняете что говорит программа для всех
дисков. (Для девятого бесполезно). Когда программа отчиталась о
добавлении очередного диска его можно вынять. Лучше с задержкой в пару
секунд. :)
Диск который в этот момент кем-то используется, (например
просматривается в файловом менеджере) вынуть не получится. После
освобождения диска автомонтировщик не отдаст его ещё в течении 5 секунд.
