Когда то участвовал в таком треде. До конца не
высказался, поскольку имея samba сервер с locale 1251,
lin клиентов в сети не имею. Но "зацепило" и временно
инсталлировал тест машину lin с locale 1251. У меня все
работает и из консоли, и в Нихтпроизнесешь. Ни одной
"кракозябры" не наблюдаю. Все, что поменял на клиенте,
по отношению к умолчанию: 1. в насройках Нихт в свойствах
изменил сценарий монтирования 2. в файле /etc/samba/smb.conf
на машине клиента поменял имя рабочей группы и "character set".
