Создай нового юзера, залогинься им в KDE, загрузи konsole и
посмотри что там получается :-))
Если все Ok - значит в твоих собственных настройках что то криво.
Если и там начнется ерунда - дело общесистемное системное.
P.S.
Совет на будущее:
Если кто то из команды AltLinux просит тебя в диагностических
целях сделать определенное действие - делай в точности как тебя
просят, а не заменяй другим действием, которое ты почему то
считаешь аналогичным. :-))
