Теоретически (если из-под винды), нужно закачать
kernel-image-2.6.24-std-def-alt8 (этот использовал я) и kernel-module
для этого ядра по списку тех, что установлены сейчас. Скопировать их в
/var/cache/apt/archives. В синаптике скомандовать установку этого image.
Внимательно следить за сообщениями. Для страховки по завершении
скомандовать из-под рута lilo. На момент обновления ядра модуля
truecrypt для этой версии не было, что не помешало успешному обновлению.
Может я где-то ошибаюсь, надеюсь здесь гуру поправят.
