Все дополнительные утилиты легко доустанавливаются из репозитория.
Я не знаю настоящую причину удаления, но, вообще-то, с epm начала
складываться, как это правильно сказать... социальная проблема что
ли. Некоторые пользователи начали считать, что это дистрибутивное
(опять же, не знаю, какое правильное определение применить) средство
установки пакетов, и всё установленное обязано работать. Однако это
совершенно не так: epm может ставить пакеты как из репозитория, так
и адаптировать строронние пакеты, и вот работоспособность вторых
совершенно не гарантируется. И количество этих пользователей стало
расти на мой взгляд. А так пользователь, доустанавливая epm, может
быть обратит на это внимание.
