В gnustep WindowMaker изначально является оконным менеджером? Там не
свой нативный вариант был? Ставил как-то gnu-шные приложения (app) на
сборку wmaker - глючили и тормозили безбожно.

TDE очень жаль. Хотя бы Mate пусть подольше живёт.
