Видимо, кто-то когда-то должен положить соответствующий ppd в /etc/cups/ppd.
В архиве обнаружился /etc/cups/ppd/LJ8150.ppd, его оказалось достаточно.
Этот "кто-то", видимо, hp-setup, так как запуск hp-setup -i и ответ
на соответствующие вопросы привёл к появлению в /etc/cups/ppd/ файла
HP_LaserJet_8150.ppd, который, правда, значительно отличается в меньшую
сторону от старого LJ8150.ppd. Со старым печатает точно, а с новым завтра
посмотрю.
