5.1 -- community бранч.
p5 -- официальный бранч на котором компания ALTLinux выпускает свои
продукты.
Сравнивать их бессмысленно, потому что цели разные. У p5 цель -- быть
платформой для продуктов альта, и обеспечивать поддержку этих клиентов.
У 5.1 цель -- быть удобной платформой для своих решений членов community.
Кроме того 5.1 более демократичный (в нем обновления может делать любой
мантейнер), потому 5.1 несколько менее стабильный -- в том понимании что
туда технически могут быть залиты обновления пакетов без на то серьезных
оснований.
ВГ> что лучше, актуальнее и т.д.
Что лучше -- самолет или трактор? Простой вопрос, но я затрудняюсь на него
ответить.
