Часть гламура нужно отключить, заменить менеджер сеанса с compiz на kwin.
Кстати отключить nepomuk, ну и прочие настройки посмотреть.

Да. У меня из кде3 запущены kcpuload и knetstats. Нехватает индикатора
оперативной памяти.

Тоже верно. На работе 4 ядерный 2.4Ghz интел + 4 гб озу и то ланцелот
всплывает не сразу, ~0.3-0.5 сек. Где-то обсуждалось что nvidia плохо дружит
с кде4.
