Про echo/mail Вам уже сказали. Причём, это стандартная вещь, мало
относящаяся к Sendmail. Надо поставить только пакет mailx или
mailutils. Что касается Sendmail, он может послать сформированный
в виде E-Mail файл с соответствующими полями в заголовке:
sendmail -it < file.eml
