проблема в том, что для разных мониторов настройки шрифтов д.б. разными
(объективно). и ещё более разными (субъективно). вторая проблема в
качестве шрифтов.
поставьте fonts-ttf-liberation, либо fonts-ttf-ms, и пользуйтесь ими.
там проблемы с хинтингом не такие очевидные.
