Мне тут подсказывают, что симлинк отличается по внешнему виду от
файла в konqueror. Например у него имя italic'ом написано. Если
у ваших пользователей есть какие-то физиологические недостатки,
это ещё не значит что в этом виновата система, с которой эти
пользователи не умеют работать.
