В смысле взять из branch? Да, ядро тоже исправляли.

Что именно?
В updates/4.0 лежит kernel-image-std-smp-2.6.18-alt8, модули,
понятное дело, собираются тоже под него.
Тут или всё-таки вытаскивать и обновлять ядро, или собирать
модули под старое (что гарантирует несколько мороки с установкой
нужного, но собственно исправление релиза в спеке и сборка
тривиальны). Я по возможности стараюсь обновлять.
