Зачем? Проще в /etc/net/ifaces/eth0/options прописать строку:
MODULE=name_of_module
где-то там в примерах есть такое

Так ведь pppoe должен быть привязан к конкретному физическому
интерфейсу, без него никак (смотри указаный в ранешнем письма пример,
там это очевидно).
