рекомендую ставить как модуль для ядра и запускать инсталятор в режиме
"эксперта", т.е. так:
sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-7676-pkg1.run --expert
в процессе можно будет подкорректировать необходимые пути.
для инсталятора само ядро не требуется пересобирать, вполне достаточно
данных из хидеров.
обрати внимание на релиз своего ядра (uname -r).
я также правил /usr/include/linux-2.4.26-std-up/include/linux/version.h
дописывал релиз в UTS_RELEASE, т.е. так:
#define UTS_RELEASE "2.4.26-std-up-alt13"
мне успешно удалось собрать модуль для ядер 2.4.26-std-up-alt6,
2.4.26-std-up-alt12 и 2.4.26-std-up-alt13
скомпиленный модуль кладется в /lib/modules/`uname -r`/nVidia
еще рекомендую снести все ранее установленные из дистрибутива
nvidia-пакеты, у меня они передрались "за право первой брачной ночи".
p.s. за ближайшие два выходных попробую завернуть инсталятор в src.rpm,
Михаил грозился помочь в этом.
