У меня тоже RoverBook! Какой TouchPad не знаю, документация испарилась.
Стоит ALT 2.4 c ядром 2.4.26-std-up-alt6.
Но самое интересное-то в чем? В том что в Линуксе эта проблема пропала
после перезагрузки в Винду ХР и обратно! В Линуксе ничего не меняла!
p.s.
ну нету такого /etc/X11/xorg.conf!!! Нету и все тут... но

есть в другом файле... XF86Config-4
Там есть следующее:
