Пройтись в
/usr/share/hal/fdi
/etc/hal/fdi
И в соотв. правилах (например, на примере 10-storage-policy.fdi):
<merge key="volume.policy.mount_option.sync" type="bool">true</merge>
заменить "true" на "false", или, возможно, вообще убрать строку.
