Подключить винт к другой машине или сделать так чтобы к винту не
было обращений. Затем с помощью smartmontools запустить
встроенный в винт тест. Бед блоки должны перемапится на запасные
сектора. Если бэд удастся прочитать, то данные из него
перенесутся в отмапленный сектор.
