До боли напоминает один из вариантов из Hard-Disk-Upgrade
mini-HOWTO, который тут не раз упоминался. :)
Только там подробнее и рассказано, как установить загрузчик на
новый диск, стоя на старом. Чтоб уж без пляски с rescue.
