Я сталкивался с подобным приколом, когда мучил свой Mustek BearPaw
1200CU Plus... Нужно было закинуть ему один файлик куда следует. Т.к.
файлик закидывал от рута - начался подобный эффект. Разобраться мне
помогла консольная команда scanimage(вроде), ее мануалка, команда
sane_find_scanner и community!
