Кстати, вопрос весьма актуальный. Я тут посмотрел архив
devel@ за последние месяцы и обнаружил лишь одно упоминание
об X.org, причем в таком контексте, что у нас-де нет майнтейнера.
Между тем в X 4.4 есть одно очень важное (лично для меня)
усовершенствование, связанное с использованием
многоязычных раскладок клавиатуры. К сожалению, воспользоваться
им сразу не удалось из-за злополучной истории с перелицензированием,
но теперь проблема вроде бы решена благодаря массовому переходу
на X.org. И если новый Master 2.4 выйдет со старым X 4.3, для
меня это будет решающим аргументом в пользу выбора иного
дистрибутива.
